Took a picture with Joe Dinicol who plays Truman on Life With Derek and David in Passchendaele. He appeared at Riverdale Collegiate Institute for the Reel Canada Movie event as a guest star for the movie Passchendaele. He was so cute and nice! Rachel Leung wanted to take a picture with him and I was reluctant at first, but I followed her and helped her take her picture. The first picture I took was kind of blurry so I said "Oh, oops. It's blurry!" and took another picture. Joe laughed at that. It wasn't really that funny but... he seemed so nice about it and genuinely happy - not annoyed at all about all the fans pestering him... I figured since I made him smile, I might as well take a picture with him. Anyway, as I went to take the picture he put his arm around my waist! I was so surprised, I literally froze and went into full-on panic mode in my brain. It made my day, haha. The funny thing is I didn't even know who he was before that so I guess Joe just got another fan! You can't really see his arm around my waist in the picture we took though. Also, Rachel did a really bad job of taking my picture but that's okay (NOT! LOL. But it's the memory that counts so ah well). I'll upload them later.
December 6th, 2011.
Picture taken w/ Joe Dinicol ("David" from Passchendaele, and "Truman" from Life with Derek)! It was the day of the Reel Canada Film Festival at our school, and most people chose to skip figuring that they would much rather stay at home than to spend the day watching Canadian movies. For our morning choice, Peiyi, Jane, and I chose to watch Passcendaele - a movie about the First World War. I recognized "David" at once to be the same character who played Truman from Life with Derek! The movie however was less impressing; it was still interesting, but not as exciting as I'd hope it would be. When the movie ended, a guest star was to make an appearance and talk about the film with us. And you could already guess who that was. At the shock of seeing him step out from the shadows and take hold of the microphone at the front of the gym, I went into the typical "fangirl mode". I'd never met or seen anyone famous before in real life, so it was a pretty big deal for me (and was so cute)! The gym however was too dark to get a picture with him, and neither Jane's phone nor my own had a flash option, so we waited until he stepped into the hallways. After pictures were taken of both of us with Joe Dinicol (separately of course), we ended up skipping down the halls thinking dreamily about him. lol The rest of my day pretty much consisted of obsessing over the fact that he actually came to our school, even though there was yet still another movie to go through in the afternoon.

I actually hate doing this kind of stuff, but since I'm going to Texas Frightmare Weekend, maybe I can make this one happen.
