4/26/12- I had my final piano lesson. She said with her own mouth that I have greatly improved. Yay! Also, I've now passed 5/6 parts of the piano proficiency exam. I am 5/6ths proficient at piano. Woot! haha
4/26/12- I attended a film festival for Point TV and film society, because I scored a film premiering there. I didn't win anything... but it was really fun and interesting to watch those films.
4/13/12- I WON! I WON FIRST PLACE! This was the one goal I thought I wouldn't achieve... but Jon Seligman encouraged me to make myself try for it, and I did, and look! I just won $1000 in the San Diego MTAC Young Composers competition for my piece "The House of Whaley!!!" I am so blessed!
4/8/12- Ian and I went to San Francisco!!! We went to Haight-Ashbury, ate lunch at a pizza place there, went thrifting, explored Golden Gate Park, walked up and down Castro Street and bought LGBT-support merch at the HRC store, ate dinner at a Thai place in Tenderloin, drank coffee at a hidden little coffee shop called Blue Bottle, walked through China Town, read books in the basement of City Lights bookstore, almost snuck into a bar to listen to some Brit-rock (but Marci opposed this), got yelled at by crazy homeless people, got offered pot, and saw two naked men. All-in-all... a terrific adventure.
