I signed up for a First Aid/CPR Class through work. I am officially certified for two years. I didn't get much sleep the night before, so class was a bit rough at first. Things have changed since I last was certified over 30 years ago when I was a Girl Scout. Years later I saved my daughter's life using the Heimlich maneuver when she was an infant. I would have not known what to do had I not taken the course. My daughter is now 22 years old, a coffee barista, and an amazing artist. Everyone should take the course. You may have to help someone at some point.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure which is performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person in cardiac arrest. It is indicated in those who are unresponsive with no breathing or abnormal breathing, for example agonal respirations. It may be performed both in and outside of a hospital.
