Fly a kite
The winds were crazy yesterday but today they were a little less wild, so we went to a big green space and flew the kite. I think more wind would have been easier, though. It was a lot of fun regardless!
Bought a kite from Kite Flite in San Diego. Now I just have to try flying it!

We went to South Shields beach for the afternoon, it was windy and cold. We flew buzzy bee kite and the boys enjoyed it.

Got to fly a kite off of a boat on the river, waiting for fireworks. Not as exciting as I thought it would be, but still fun.
A nice close up of the kite mid flight. It's actually surprisingly entertaining to fly, and passersby seem to enjoy it as well.

Dad helped me and the boys fly a cheesy plastic kite last month (3/13). I'm hoping to get it up on the beach this summer!

I took Andrew to the beach and taught him how to fly a kite! It was a blast. We tried to fly it at the park, but there just wasn't enough wind. The beach had the perfect amount of breeze! Hopefully next time we can do it a little longer.

I bought a kite shaped like a hang-gliding frog at the Darebin Kite Festival and flew it in the park. It took a while to get the hang of it and the wind had to be right, but it was fun and got me a good deal of exercise too.
Stephen and I went to the soccer fields. We got the kite SO high. FIgures the best day to fly a kite is the day after a hurricane.
Jon Drax just said he knows how to MAKE a kite, and would be happy to oblige. We'll see how it goes. :D
Kite
A kite is a tethered heavier-than-air or lighter-than-air craft with wing surfaces that react against the air to create lift and drag forces. A kite consists of wings, tethers and anchors.
